چکیده
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, most countries in world have mandated use face masks to limit spread this dangerous disease. The billions that are produced around date generate millions tonnes plastic waste is thrown into environment. present work aims valorise single-use or surgical mortar. work, effect substituting 1–5% volume mortar with pieces 2 cm2 section and 4 explored. Mechanically, an increase compressive strength between 10 20% noted, as well improvement flexural 19–30%. Physically, thermal resistance mortars formulated from mask improved by up 23%, there was a clear acoustic reflection coefficient for all frequencies. capillary rise test conducted on samples shows amount absorbed water increases. However, although cases presence increases sorptivity mortar, not associated higher rise. results found encouraging, allowing one hand improve physical mechanical characteristics other solve environmental problem.

متن کاملUtilization of waste glass as sand replacement in cement mortar
In this study, alkali silica reaction (ASR) expansion and strength characteristics of mortar containing waste glasses are analyzed in terms of waste glass content and glass color. Three different colors of waste glasses (white, green and brown) are replaced with sand at ratios of 10%, 30% and 100% by weight. The mixtures used in this study did not show a considerable ASR expansion. All batches ...
